Spring Into Change: Motiv8 Groupwork Programme 2026

This spring and summer, Motiv8 is launching a revised Groupwork Programme designed to support both new and existing members to make positive, lasting changes.

With regular groups every week from Auricular Acupuncture and relaxation twice during the week, a Peer Led Takeover Tuesday group and SMART running twice weekly there is something that will suit everyone who choses to enter and maintain recovery.

Our SMART groups are built around the principles of SMART Recovery UK, our sessions offer practical, evidence-based tools to help you better understand your behaviours, manage challenges and move towards a more balanced life.

“Groupwork creates a space where people realise, they are not alone. That connection can be the starting point for real change.” – Louise, Groupwork Programme Lead

SMART Recovery focuses on building motivation, coping with urges, managing thoughts and emotions, and developing healthier routines. It’s a flexible, empowering approach that puts you in control of your progress.

Why join a group?

Our groups provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where you can:

  • Learn practical tools for everyday life
  • Share experiences and hear from others
  • Build confidence and resilience
  • Stay connected in your recovery

Louise, Group Programme Lead added that, “These sessions aren’t about telling people what to do, they are about giving them the tools and confidence to make their own changes.”

Who is it for?

The programme is open to:

  • People new to Motiv8
  • Current members looking to stay on track
  • Anyone wanting support with dependent behaviours

You don’t need to have all the answers – just a willingness to take part.

Take the next step

With a range of sessions running throughout spring and summer, now is a great time to get involved.

Louise added that “There is something really powerful about starting fresh in spring, it is a chance to reset, refocus and move forward with support around you.”
