Christmas * Hope * Community
Last Christmas for the first time Motiv8 produced a Christmas card, it featured a little robin called Hope brought a message of kindness, warmth and hope to people across the Isle of Man.
This year, we’re looking for a brand new design to carry that message forward – and we want you to help us create it and are asking for artwork on the theme of:
What does Christmas, hope and community mean to you?
Your artwork could become the official Motiv8 Christmas Card 2026, printed for people to buy and send this Christmas, helping us raise vital funds to support individuals and families across the Island.
For us, Christmas is about more than decorations and presents. It is about connection, kindness, looking out for one another and remembering that hope can make a difference.
We want to see what those things look like through your eyes.
There are two categories:

🎄 16+
Our judging panel will select a shortlist from each category before choosing the winning design and opening it up for the People’s Choice Award too.
What are we looking for?
Your design should be:
- Christmas themed
- Your own original artwork
- Positive, hopeful and suitable for a Christmas card
- Inspired by Christmas, kindness, hope or community
There are no limits to how you create your design. You could use pencils, paint, collage, photography or digital artwork – whatever gets your creativity flowing.
Please note: AI-generated artwork will not be eligible for the competition. We want to celebrate your own creativity and imagination.
The winner
The winning design will become the Motiv8 Christmas Card 2026!
The winning artist will also receive a special Christmas prize, with their artwork shared across Motiv8’s social media and promotional channels.
It is a chance to see your creativity become part of Christmas celebrations across the Isle of Man and beyond, while helping to support Motiv8’s work with individuals and families experiencing challenges around alcohol, drugs, gambling and gaming.

Sadly, original artworks cannot be returned and may be used to decorate our counselling rooms over the festive period.
So, what does Christmas, hope and community look like through your eyes?
Perhaps it’s family around a table.
Perhaps it’s a helping hand, a warm light on a winter evening, friends coming together, or simply the feeling that nobody has to face difficult times alone.
However you see it, we want to see it too.
So sharpen your pencils, pick up your paintbrush, open your sketchbook or get your creative ideas flowing.
